Signage for an office that had grown

Fidelis are an existing client. They came back to us needing signage for their offices — wall graphics, door signs, reception and room identification, all produced as one coherent set.

Repeat work brings its own advantage. We already knew the brand, so the time usually spent getting up to speed went into the design instead.

Measure first, then design

We started with a short review on site: brief agreed, every sign location measured. Wall runs, door widths, mounting heights, the position of light fittings and desks that would sit in front of things. Those measurements set the constraints before anything was drawn.

The studio then produced a set of signage style options for Fidelis to choose from. Giving a client something visible to react to settles direction faster than any amount of discussion about it.

A wall that tells the company’s story

The centrepiece is the timeline running the length of the office wall. Each business is set on its own plaque with a date beneath it, connected along a horizontal line by coloured node markers — one colour per business, picking up each brand’s own palette.

It works as decoration and as an explanation. Anyone standing in that space can read the shape of the group in about fifteen seconds: where it started, what came next, how it fits together. A framed org chart would have said the same thing and nobody would have looked at it.

The vertical panel by the entrance repeats the same set as a stacked list, so the group’s businesses are the first thing visible on arrival.

Room signage with a system behind it

Meeting rooms are named after trees — Pine, Elm — and identified by clear acrylic panels, stood off the wall on polished stainless steel standoffs. The offset casts a soft shadow behind each sign, which lifts the type off a white wall without needing any additional colour.

One typeface, one blue, one keyline box, one mounting method. The system holds across every room, so adding a new sign later means following the rule rather than making a fresh decision.

Designed, produced, delivered

The studio handled the project end to end — measuring, review, design, production and delivery. One team responsible from first site visit to final fixing.

What we delivered:

  • Site survey and measurements
  • Signage design concepts
  • Timeline wall graphics
  • Reception and wall signage
  • Room and door identification signage
  • Production and delivery
